The World Festival of Youth and Students: Selection Get Started

On the 13^th of April the full-time stage of students’ selection for the 19^th World Festival of Youth and Students in Sochi get started at OSU.

More than 20 000 people from 150 countries will visit the festival on the 14^th — 22^nd of October. Russia will be presented by 10 000 young people including young people from Orenburg region. Among them there will be students and scientists of Orenburg State University. Participants are selected by specially formed committees — regional committees for organization and conducting of the 19^th World Festival of Youth and Students.

The first interviews with students from Orenburg region were held at OSU. Above 100 students and young scientists have gathered in the Museum for OSU History. Representatives of executive authorities and public organizations were members of the committee.

At the moment more than 700 interested participants are registered but the quota for our region is only 150 people. Participants who will not be selected for this festival in Sochi will have an opportunity to take part in the festival on the territory of Orenburg region: our region was selected among 16 other regions for implementation of regional festival’s program. It means that from the 14^th to 17^th of October our city will receive a delegation of 100 people.

The interview was conducted in the form of presentations. Each participant was presenting himself during 2 minutes, than committee members were putting points.
