OSU Scientists in the Top-100 of Russian Science Citation Index

Six OSU representatives were included in the rating “Top-100” of the most quoted Russian scientists according the Russian Science Citation Index at the beginning of year.

Scientists of Orenburg State University have significantly improved their positions in this rating in comparison with the last year. Two scientists are included in the Top-100 by two points: Anatoliy Skalniy, Head of OSU Bioelementology Institute, Professor of Department for Biochemistry and Microbiology, took the 45^th position in section “Biology” and the 81^st position in section “Medicine and Public Health Service” (in the first case he improved his positions by 11 points, in the 2^nd one — by one); Vladimir Afanasyev, Head of Department for Statistics and Econometrics, Doctor of Economical Sciences, has the 54^th place in section “Demography” and the 53^rd in “Statistics” (what is better than his results in the last year up 6 and 18 points correspondingly).

Viktoriya Guryeva, Head of Department for Building Technologies, Doctor of Technical Sciences, was included in the Top-100 — the 51^st position in section “Construction. Architecture”. Venaliy Amelin, Director of Research Institute for the History and Ethnography of the Southern Urals, Doctor of Historical Sciences has the 53^rd position in sector “Religion. Atheism”.

Olga Kaliyeva, Head of OSU Department for Marketing, Commerce and Advertising, Candidate of Economical Sciences, takes the 63^rd place in section “Other fields”. Aleksandr Tsypin, Associate Professor of Department for Statistics and Econometrics, Candidate of Economical Sciences, is on the 89^th position in section “Demography”.
