Working as dean for 30 years

On the 27^th of December Vladislav Korotkov — Dean of OSU Faculty for Applied Biotechnology and Engineering celebrated the 30^th anniversary of his working experience as a dean.

Vladislav Korotkov engaged himself with the university as early as in the year 1967 — entered Engineering Faculty of Orenburg Branch of Kuibyshev Polytechnic Institute (former name of OSU). In 1986 he has been nominated as Dean of Engineering Faculty and in the three years headed Faculty for Food Production.

Vladislav Georgievich has initiated 16 specialties and bachelor’s programs. Some of them became a basis for the new faculties.

The scientist has published over 150 papers, got 22 Russian patents, presented a doctoral thesis and received the academic title of Professor. Six candidates of sciences were prepared under his supervision.

In celebration of the 30^th anniversary of his working experience as dean, Vladislav Korotkov was awarded with the certificate of the International Agency for Record Registration “Interrekord”; he became the only Russian dean who is continuously heading the faculty so many years.
