About Improved Aircraft Wing on the Forum in France

The Senior Lecturer of Aircrafts Department, OSU Aerospace Institute, Aleksandr Gorbunov has presented a paper during the Second Franco-Russian Forum in the field of Aerospace Education and Science that was held in the European aircraft and space capital — Toulouse (France).

In the section “Higher Education and Science” he has presented summarized results of several research works that were made on the basis of his original conception for designing a mainline aircraft. The main point of this conception consists of including a wingtip in the equation of aircraft existence (Mozhaysky’s formula) that allow finding an approximate takeoff weight of a theoretic aircraft on account of its operational, constructive or flying properties. The offered methodology solves a contradiction between rational aerodynamic design and massive strength configuration of the mainline aircraft’s wing at the different stages of design.
