The annual seminar of Ethnic Monitoring Network took place in Saint-Julian’s (Republic of Malta). Venaliy Amelinš— the network expert, Director of OSU Research Institute of South Ural History and Ethnography was involved in the seminar and presented a report.
Representatives from many regions of Russia, CIS and OSCE participated. They focused attention considering issues on resources and mechanisms of state ethno-national policy, Russian and international experience of its realization.
Special attention was paid to the analysis of inter-ethnic relations in Russian regions, potential conflictogenic factors and ethnopolitical risks in cosmopolitan regions. Positive implementation of the strategy for state national policy was discussed.
Also it was told about need for laws statement on Russian nation and civil identity.
