Days of Japan in OSU: from Kaizen to Tea Ceremony

Festival opening “Days of Japan in OSU”

The festival “Days of Japan in OSU” was conducted in Orenburg State University for the 13th time.

The guests from Japan — Professor of Higher School for Science by Hiroshima University, OSU Honorary Professor Takayuki Ebata and Minister-Counselor, Head of Information Department of Japanese Embassy in Russia Kotaro Otsuki — have participated in the opening.

Further the guests presented Hiroshima University. The main event — the opening of the festival “Days of Japan in OSU” — was held in the cinema centre “Kosmos”. A traditional for this event film festival was started in the meantime.

The business-workshop “Kaizen in Developing of a New Product” was conducted within the framework of this festival. The lecturer was an expert of Japanese Organization for Foreign Trade Development (JETRO), Consultant on SME Support for Access to Foreign Markets Hiroyuki Kurati. Kaizen principles in designing business-processes for developing of a new product were considered during this workshop.

Many other events were organized for the followers of Japanese culture: the book fair “Japan: Traditions, Art, Literature”, literary and historical discussion “Image of Nature in Japanese Literature”, tea ceremony, workshops in calligraphy and Japanese food, and others. It was held in OSU, sushi studio “Zelenaya Gorchitsa”, coffee bar “Yakudza” and “Planeta turizma” company.
