OSU has received a certificate of category B in rating or Russian universities ARES-2016 (Academic Ranking of World Universities — European Standard). This category implies reliable quality of teaching, scientific activity and employability of graduates.

This annual European rating considers: characteristics of university’s international cooperation, scientific activity, graduates’ employability, professional development of teaching staff, international recognition of lecturers, membership in European science academies, collaboration of university with employers as well as awards given by departments of European Commercial and Industrial Chamber and the European Commission.
