Leipzig — Orenburg. Cooperation continues

The rector of HTWK Leipzig University of Applied Sciences — Gesine Grande visited Orenburg State University.

On the 22^nd of September she met with OSU administration. Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Acting Rector of OSU — Svetlana Pankova presented the University. Gesine Grande noticed that OSU — is very big and impressed her. She told about Leipzig University involving 6 thousand students; ten percent of them are foreigners.

Rector’s Councilor — Vladimir Kovalevskiy reported about cooperation history between OSU and HTWK Leipzig. (The cooperation agreement was signed on the 14^th of April, 2008 in Germany by rectors Vladimir Kovalevskiy and Hubertus Milke.)

Nowadays there are two German scholarships for OSU students and opportunity to organize short-time traineeships (two weeks of practical courses). Besides, the rector presented School of Young Scientists where graduate students from universities of Germany and other countries get assistance for thesis writing. She invited OSU representatives to participate.

The Head of International Cooperation Administration Eduard Yasakov told about realization of DAAD programs, projects of R. Bosch Fund and Goethe Institute, cooperation with Embassy of Germany in Russia.
