OSU Expands Research Potential

Orenburg State University improved own position in National Universities Rating in “Research” field.

Eight indexes were estimated by rating’s drawing up including educational programs (Master’s courses, postgraduate study and doctoral programs), university’s contribution to formation of national academic capacity, employees’ scientific efficiency as well as publications citation (according to the data from Scopus, RSCI and Research E-Library). The data were analyzed for the last five years.

As the result Orenburg State University rose by 23 points and took the 101^st place (last year — the 124^th place). However the number of universities increased from 207 to 238 in the list.

The results of National Universities Rating in other fields were presented earlier: OSU improved own position according to “Brand” (rose by 17 points) and “Education” (by 6 points) criteria.

National Universities Rating — is the special project of “Interfax” group realized in line with radio station “Echo of Moscow”.
