Russia and Kazakhstan: about New Milestones of Cooperation

Ways of Eurasian integration deepening were discussed in Orenburg on the meeting of International Research and Practical Conference "Eurasian Economic Union and Integration Processes on Eurasian Space".

Action took place within the framework of "Eurasian Intersection" project realization. Scientists and experts from boundary regions of Russia and Kazakhstan, representatives of State authorities and civil society institutions, activists of national, cultural and youth public organizations were interested in discussion platform. Delegation from Orenburg State University took part in work of this conference.

Venaliy Amelin — Director of OSU Scientific Research Institute of South Ural History and Ethnography — one of organizers welcomed the audience. Dmitry Kulagin — Vice Governor of Orenburg region noted that it is important to have reliable shoulder of friend nearby in conditions of new world order building. Kazakhstan is a reliable good neighbor for Russia.

According to Associate Professor of Economics and Management Department West Kazakhstan state university after M. Utemisov (WKSU) Saule Primbetova construction of transport corridors between Europe and Asia can be important incentive for development of economical cooperation of Eurasian Economic Union countries. Director of WKSU Science and Commercialization Office Eduard Imashev drew attention of colleagues to ecological state of small Russian-Kazakhstan trans-border rivers. Elena Maksimenko considers that Eurasian Economic Union is Organization possessing international legal personality. It is necessary to activate unification and harmonization processes of member states national legislation to become the full subject of international law within Eurasian Economic Union.

Conference participants formulated practical guidelines for development of mutually beneficial cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan within Eurasian Economic Union, which were included into final resolution.
