28.01.16
Representatives of Leipzig Applied Sciences University (Germany)š— Professors Klaus Haenssgen and Tobias Martinš— have visited Orenburg during celebration of the 20th OSU anniversary in the status of a classical university.
On the 26th of January a meeting with the new OSU Rector was conducted. The previous day our guests have visited festive events devoted to Russian Students Day in OSU and got very positive impression.
— I am glad to welcome our great friends. Our universities have long-term relations and intensive cooperation,š— OSU Rector Zhanna Ermakova has started the meetingš— During this period 45 OSU students undertook short-term internships in the field of informatics, multimedia technologies and applied mathematics, 35šstudentsš— studied for 1–2šsemesters. We are glad about annual academic exchange between our universities and we would like to know about your wishes relatively prospects for further cooperation.
Klaus Haenssgen (good speaking Russian) has noticed that intensive cooperation of our university with Leipzig HTWK is significantly inferior to OSU contacts with CIS countries by intensity. He has also complimented Orenburg students for diligence during his lectures and outlined a new cooperation’s aimš— EU Program "Erasmus+".
— We have some photos of technological interchanges in laboratories for heat and gas supply after our university’s excursion. We liked your approaches and we also implemented them. I think that experience in curriculum coordination and subjects’ content realized at Mathematics Faculty for students’ internships organization is also very important for us. This experience should be implemented at Faculties of Construction and for Electrical Power Engineering Facultyš— both have similar educational programs and content a lot of students that are ready for cooperation.
In the end of this meeting participants made an exchange of memorable gifts and souvenirs.
Meeting of Klaus Haenssgen and Tobias Martin with lecturers of Mathematics and IT Faculty was conducted this very day. The guests made a detailed presentation about Leipzig University of Applied Sciences, its educational programs, gave generalized information about opportunities for academic mobility and existed standards and rules. They also told about research field of their colleagues in Leipzig. So lecturers of OSU have an opportunity to better know their potential partners for cooperation.
