Orenburg Region Days in Federal Council

Acting Rector Zhanna Ermakova took part in the meeting of Science, Education and Culture Committee of Russian Federal Council within the framework of Orenburg Region Days on the 7^th of December.

Vice Governor — Deputy PM of Orenburg Region on Social Policy Pavel Samsonov, Minister of Orenburg Region Education Vyacheslav Labuzov, Head of Science and HEI Coordination Department Elena Lucay, Acting Rector of OSU Zhanna Ermakova and Vice-rector for Research Sergey Letuta were present on the session for discussion of "Topical Questions of Orenburg Region Higher Education Development".

What do represent the system of higher education in the region? What are the perspectives and vector of education development? How do use intellectual and material HEI potential practicable for innovative region development for the purposes of further modernization of higher education system in our country? Zhanna Ermakova and Vyacheslav Labuzov reply these questions completely.

The main conclusion was: Orenburg State University is ready for new phase — creation of multi-field overarching university in Orenburg Region on the base of effective teamwork of stakeholders involved in the process. Members of Federal Council Committee supported this attitude. It was decided to apply with the actual suggestion to RF Education and Science Ministry considering support of the governor and Administration of Orenburg Region.

Moreover Zhanna Ermakova had working meetings in RF Ministry of Education and Science and Federal Education and Science Supervision Agency.
