Acting OSU Rector Zhanna Ermakova welcomed teachers before the lessons’ start. She emphasized that our university cooperates with Ministry for Education of Orenburg region in the field of advanced study courses for schoolteachers for many years, but this is the most large-scale. Leading scientists from Moscow were invited to give classes in partnership with OSU lecturers.

The mass teachers’ training is connected with changes in United State Examination on History in the year 2016: school-graduates have to write a historical composition besides traditional test answers.

The lessons are organized in two stages. The second session will be held in January where teachers of final-year classes and heads of regional methodical associations will be invited for this session.

OSU scientists will also work with teachers remotely: they will not only answer any questions, but offer to write historical compositions for further analyzing during discussions.

Lecturers from Moscow have detailed newly-passed historical and cultural standard that will become a base for all history course books. They emphasized it is not an attempt to rewrite our history.
