Summer in Japan

Four students from OSU undertook internship in Summer Scientific School of Hiroshima University.

Students from Indonesia and Japan were among guests from Orenburg, Novosibirsk, and Tomsk universities. Summer school’ students had lectures on chemistry, physics and mathematics in English. But they were mostly impressed by lessons in laboratories.

All students emphasize that they were struck by "Institute of amphibians" with a great number of herptiles exposed to genetic experiments. Foreign students have also participated in the mourning ceremony in the memory of victims of atomic bomb explosion in Hiroshima and visited the museum where exhibits remind the tragic day: pieces of clothes, model of destroyed city and other horrible things. Additionally the students had a meeting with senior citizens survived in this explosion.

At the end of this summer internship the students were awarded with certificates of international level about completion of Summer Scientific School of Hiroshima University.
