OSU students took part in the Days of German Culture in Orenburg. Anastasiya Yarkayeva and Rimma Mukhamyedzhanova, students of OSU Faculty for Philology and Journalism, got fellowships named after Alexander Shmorel for high level of German language and excellent studying.

Alexander Shmorel is one of "White Rose" founders (students antifascist group in Munich).

Anastasiya Yarkayeva has translated performance of Orenburg Drama Theatre "Call me back to the past" for guests from Germany. This performance was prepared for the Days of German Culture.

OSU students together with pupils, gymnasium and President Cadet College students also participated in staging of "Emil and detectives" in German language. This performance took place in Orenburg State Regional Puppet Theatre. Among other things students and lecturers of Faculty for Philology and Journalism had a meeting with "Freistadt" film’s headliners (film directorš— Mark Brummund). First performance of this film in Russia took place in Orenburg.
