OSU Knowledge Day: Gold Letters in Sky

On the 1^st of September celebration of a new academic year and matriculation ceremony took place in the park of OSU campus.

Vladimir Kovalevskiy, Rector of Orenburg State University, congratulated the audience on the beginning of studies. He noticed that students family of the main university in Orenburg region, its branches and colleges was increased by 5 500 students this year.

Metropolitan of Orenburg and Saraktash — Valentin told about necessity of cultural and intellectual development in his parting words to students.

Dmitriy Kulagin, Vice-Governor — Orenburg Deputy Prime Minister, congratulated all participants of this event on behalf of Orenburg region’s Governor. Evgeniy Arapov, Head of Orenburg Administration, addressed to the audience with greetings.

Balloons in the shape of letters (OSU) were launched in the sky after all congratulations. Than matriculation ceremony of the first year students was conducted. All faculties of Orenburg State University were represented during this event: short history, acquaintance with deans and layout of emblems and flags. New students were cheering, launching balloons in the sky. They already felt full members of the big university’s family.
