Neutralizator for City Ecology

Aleksandr Volnov — assistant of Metrology, Standardization and Certification Department of OSU Transport Faculty received laureate diploma of federal projects competition according to results of "iVolga-2015" Volga Federal District forum. Moreover the researcher merited a grant — 400 thousand rubles on "iVolga Brainiac" program from Development Fund of Small Forms of Enterprises in Scientific and Technical Sphere.

His project "Creation of City Technology for Provision and Control of Ecological Safety" offers the complex of organizational and technical measures providing protection mechanism against gas contamination of large cities. The young scientist proposed to determine admissible norms of toxic ground-level air pollution of roads, to monitor it and reduce total toxicity of harmful substances (products of automobile exhausts, wear of tires and brake pads, asphalt evaporations) gradually considering influence of industrial enterprises.

Also Alexandr Volnov suggested new principles of exhaust gas neutralization. By the means of grant he plans to improve neutralizator — bicameral device with cryogenic cooling and subsequent catalytic purification of exhaust. This development is much cheaper than analogs since production doesn’t need any precious metals.
