For the 4^th time students of OSU Geology and Geography Faculty made a stand for Shrenk tulips included in Russian Red Book. These flowers are sold illegally every spring in underground walkways and on streets.

About 70 people took part in this action. Students stood with posters near "Voskhod" shopping center, Central market, at Sovetskaya Street and near OSU Research Library. They handed out flyers with illustration of endangered plants, information about punishment for its sale/purchase and special telephone number.

According to Aleksey Stepanov, Vice-Dean of Geology and Geography Faculty (OSU), students didn’t confine only with stands. In the period of tulips’ blooming they together with inspectors of Ministry for Natural Resources, Ecology and Property Relations in Orenburg region attend the places of tulips’ growing, arrest breakers and make a report. Raids will be continued this spring.
