About Nanotechnology in Construction

Kumertau Branch of Orenburg State University together with other leading HEI of our country has represented the Russian delegation during the conference in Egypt.

The 7^th International Conference "Nanotechnologies in Construction" was held on 27–31^st of March by support of Egyptian-Russian University, National Research Center of House and Civil Construction, Izhevsk State Technological University named after Kalashnikov M.T., Egyptian Ministry of Housing and Municipal Services. Such questions as creation of nanotechnology industry in construction, implementing of energy-efficient technologies, cooperation between companies and research centers were discussed in the framework of the conference. Organizers also showed an exhibition of nanotechnology products, equipment and specialized production.

Aleksandr Pudovkin, Dean of Construction Faulty (OSU Kumertau Branch), and Igor Nedoseko, Professor of Building Materials and Structures Production Department, presented report "Nanostructured aspects of hydration and solidification of calcium sulphate and plaster-slag compositions on the base of calcium sulfate dihydrate". Scientists shared their experience in development of binding materials composition.
