New furniture, LED lamps, motion sensors and touch-activated bathroom equipment — are components of OSU students’ life in reconstructed hostel No.3. In the morning on August 29 red ribbon was solemnly cut at the hostel’s entrance.

OSU Rector Vladimir Kovalevskiy, Vice-rectors, university staff, students and honorary guests participated in this event.

Vladimir Kovalevskiy congratulated the audience with completion of the hostel’s reconstruction. He noted that the building was placed in operation about 30 years ago, therefore it needed capital renovation. According to Rector, only walls and structures remained from the old hostel; the rest, from roof to interior decor — is fresh. Vladimir thanked everyone who participated in construction and hoped that students will take care of their new house.

Reconstruction of 4 674 sq.m. building was carried out in short time. Not only living rooms, but also public places, corridors, staircases and cellar were renovated in less than three summer months.
