OSU Rector Vladimir Kovalevskiy had received Order of Merit for Motherland II Degree from hands of Orenburg Region Governor Yuriy Berg. The awarding ceremony took place in Orenburg Local History Museum on the 4^th of June.

Vladimir Kovalevskiy was honored for work advances and long-term job. This is not the first state tribute of the rector; in 2000 he was awarded with title "Honorary Figure of Russian Higher Education" for productive academic activities on university education and major contribution to university development.
