Heading to Sociability and Cooperation

OSU Rector Vladimir Kovalevskiy took part in First Rectors’ International Forum of leading aerospace universities in Berlin and visited partner universities of Finland and Denmark.

The International Forum of leading aerospace universities was organized under the motto "Aerospace University of Future" in conference room of ILA-2014 International aerospace salon and in Russian Science and Culture House in Berlin.

— Certainly, participation in this forum gives many reasons for reflections about further development of educational process in the aerospace sphere for our higher education institution — Vladimir Kovalevskiy considers. — Any progress demands efforts especially in the international context and area of high-tech education. The forum gave us more vision where is the university’s place in the international educational process. I should note another positive fact for me. The presentation of Isidro Agillo — Head of "Cybermetrics" laboratory of global rating company Webometrics, described the rating of top world universities (information for rating came from open Internet sources). Orenburg State University took the position among top Russian HEI’s, that of course characterizes very positive our work in direction of openness for the world community and access to university information.

In Turku University of Applied Sciences (Turku, Finland) Vladimir Kovalevskiy met TUAS Rector Juha Kettunen. They discussed options of further cooperation. The ratification of additional agreement for main contract between OSU and TUAS describing the activity details in the field of students’ academic mobility took place after the presentation of faculty of mechanical engineering, business and environment.

Also OSU Rector attended TUAS Engineering and Technology Center and Art Academy. In VIA UC (Denmark) the signing (prolongation) of cooperation agreement between one of the largest Danish university and Orenburg State University was realized.
