OSU graduated new fashion designers

The 29^th of March was the main students' day for graduates of OSU Architecture and Construction Faculty — thesis presentation.

It was the special event for Design Department students (major — Dress Design). Every student should develop a dress collection — from draft to fabrication. All works were estimated on the high level. “Café Chantant” of Evgeniya Danilenko, “Doctor Clown” of Anna Kuzina, “Matryona” of Elena Hisangulova, “Julet” of Ulyana Mytsyk, “Way to Sun” of Svetlana Ustimova, “Violet” of Yuliya Lezhnina and “Bird of Silver Age” of Yuliya Dmitriyenko touched not only audience', but jury’ feelings. “It is not difficult to invent a collection. The important thing — a collection should be actual. The formula for beginning designer success is competent analysis of the last fashion tendencies on the consumer market”, — assistant professor of OSU Design Department Valentina Viktorova said. It is not easy to realize an idea to the life. The project “Violet” of Yuliya Lezhnina is the confirmation of this fact. Developing the collection she referred to such ancient folk craft as fur knitting and fulling. The style of 50's of the 20^th century called “New-Look” was the source of inspiration. The shawl in collection is used not only as decorative trimmings. The pictures for fabric were developed on the base of knitting patterns — by hand with the technique of “nunofelting” — silk fulling. According to the jury’s estimation the unique collection of Yuliya Lezhnina fully corresponds to the climate and traditions of Orenburg region.
