On the 22nd of December OSU students and lecturers took part in Olympic Torch Relay.

At 12:00 torchbearers met Winter Olympics’ symbol at Orenburg railway station and then carried it along the main city streets. Among them was Head of OSU Physical Education Department, USSR Master of Sportsš— Vladimir Baranov, senior lecturer of OSU Physical Education Departmentš— Galina Holodova, as well as Orenburg State University students. Orenburg inhabitants met torchbearers with a storm of applause during the whole route.

The Olympic flame’s way passed through Pobeda Avenue, by Orenburg State University Research Library. Hundreds of OSU students and lecturers meeting the torch could see Olympic Flame with own eyes and make photo with it.
