The Ministry of Education and Science of Russian Federation published monitoring results of higher educational institutions activity of 2013.

Orenburg State University and three its branches were included in the list of effective educational institutions. The results of educational, research, international, financial, economic activity, the grade of infrastructure, students’ contingent and many other indicators were considered in benchmarking.

Orenburg institutions (branches) with signs of inefficiency are the following: Academic Humanitarian Institute, Orenburg Institute of Economy and Culture, and Buguruslan branch of Federal State Educational Institution "Orenburg State Pedagogical University.
