To Learn Language and City by Comics

The German artist and cartoonist Arthur Klose has come to OSU. The purpose of his visit is to create a training comic book about Orenburg. The discussion of this project was organized on the 30^th of September.

The guest from Germany told about himself and his works. The artist, as it turned out, was born and spent childhood in Poland and came to Germany to get education. Arthur Klose studied animated cartoon in Kassel Academy of Arts. His degree work was comic book "Mysterious Kassel". This book presents as illustrated guide-book, where funny characters Bobby and Molly travel around interesting places in the city. The German multiplier hopes to put into practice the similar project in Orenburg. He wants to create the Russian-German book about our city which will not only illustrate its famous monuments, but also will help readers to study foreign languages, indeed the book will be in Russian and German.

The artist’s idea was supported in Orenburg State University. The conversations about producing of future comic book are taking place in Orenburg charity foundation "Eurasia". By the way, students of Belgorod State University of Culture and Art are implementing the similar project about Belgorod and Opole.
