The traditional Japanese festival Tanabata was held in "Zauralnaya" Grove and the students of OSU Japan Information Center took part in it.

Japanese also call this traditional summer event "Star Festival". Due to the legend any wish made the day before Tanabata will come true. The students of Japan Information Center participating every year ascertained in the legend. They think that Tanabata gets more interesting from year to year. The unusual program with participation of Orenburg cosplayers was organized this time. The actors were dressed in the image and likeness of favorite anime and manga characters showing a real play. Moreover guests could take part in various contests, sing karaoke and play pillow-fight for the title of champion.

The festival tree decoration with wish ribbons was one of main evening’s events — the same ceremony was in Japan that day.

There was fire-show and luminous toy boats were sailed on river Ural at the end of evening.
