France became closer

On the 15th of April in Lille (France) the cooperation agreement between Orenburg State University and Catholic University of Lille was countersigned. Agreement conclusion was held in the frame of the visit of Vladimir Kovalevsky — rector of OSU to France after his participation in the forum of rectors and presidents of Russian and Netherlands universities.

OSU Rector Vladimir Kovalevsky and Pierre Zhorzhony — president-rector of Catholic University of Lille signed basic cooperation agreement providing cooperation in a wide range of areas — from joint research to academic exchange. "It is impressive that the contract with OSU — is the first one with Russian higher education institution, considering 400 international partners for Lille University! It results that French university "discover Russia" by means of OSU". Estimating the results of communication with the heads of Netherlands universities on the forum of rectors and presidents of Russian and Netherlands universities on the 11th–12th of April, Vladimir Kovalevsky said:

"We have established contacts with practically all representatives of Netherlands universities. For the day I would like to feature Technical University of Delft — the university where Russian rectors had a visit. The structures of our universities are similar in many respects; many educational programs are taught in English, that’s why the prospects of cooperation with this University are foremost real. I am very interested in the presentation of Professor Bringsma — rector of University of Twente: he told about the experience of cooperation with technopark, university and authorities. We arranged to continue the information exchange on these issues with the rector of Twente".
