Aerospace Institute of the OSU opened the first in Orenburg region classroom of numerical control system on the 14^th of November.

Simulators installed allow you to develop program control for machine tools with numerical control (NC) containing information about detail drawing, cycles and operation modes, movements of work piece, and at the same time to see the result of such programming in 3D animation on the screen. It allows in appropriate cases to correct different errors what is impossible to make on active machine tools with NC. 10 workstations, which will train up to 20 people, were set up in the auditorium of Aerospace Institute by university funding. The cost of such equipment is over 6,5 million rubles.

— This class gives students the opportunity to learn at a different level — much higher than before, and to prepare qualified specialists, who is able to meet requests of future employers, — Anatoliy Serdyuk, director of Aerospace Institute of the OSU said.

Simulators allow getting of operating skills on the most popular counters: Siemens, GE Fanuc Series 21, Heidenhain. According to Aleksey Balukov, leading engineer of Yekaterinburg company Unimatic, which dealt with delivery and equipment installation, the installing counters are main at the moment. According to statistics about 73% machine tools, introduced in the market, are equipped with such counters with NC.
