According to the expert vote in the All-Russian project “Best Educational Programs of Innovative Russia — 2019” six OSU educational programs were recognized as the best: Physics, Biotechnical Systems and Technologies, Psychology, Economics, Sociology, Service.

The project "Best Educational Programs of Innovative Russia" has started in 2010 as the first project to provide independent quality evaluation of the country’s education. The project selects educational programs that are highly rated with academics, professionals and students.

The selection is based on an online survey of experts, including rectors of universities, heads of methodological associations, deans of faculties, heads of departments, employers' associations, members of youth unions, leading researchers. The ranking is based not on the general potential of a university (brand, location, age and size, financial and material resources), but on the number of high quality educational programs implemented in a higher education institution.

This project has been implemented by the National Centre for Public Accreditation, the Guild of Experts in the Sphere of Professional Education and analytical journal «Accreditation in Education».

More than once OSU got into the ranking. In 2017 five OSU educational programs were the best, in 2018 — four. The leaders are the programs in Economics, Economic Security, Pedagogical Education, Psychology and Physics.

The key goal of the project is to make a high quality education available. It is also important not only to promote leading universities but to share the best practices in professional education.
