On January 23–25 Orenburg State University held the annual conference “University complex as the regional center of education, science and culture”.
The conference united more than 1600 people from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Samara, Kazan, Ekaterinburg, Tula, Novocherkassk, Tomsk, Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk, Ulyanovsk, Aktobe, Samarkand, Kyzylorda, Turkestan, Tashkent, Almaata.
Zhanna Ermakova, OSU rector, made a welcoming speech on the Plenary session.
Julia Lavrikova, Director of the Institute of Economics of the Ural branch of the Russian Academy of Science, described social and economic challenges and tendencies Russia had to face. Alimzhon Riskulov, rector of Tashkent Institute of Design, Construction and Maintenance of Automobile Roads, talked on the universities integration into the global educational environment. Julia Kudasheva, Head of OSU Department for Public Relations and Journalizm, described OSU’s mediapotential in the digital era. Tatyana Sazonova, Director of OSU Kumertau branch, briefed on the contributions to the region’s human resource development.
The conference continued with 26 sections and 2 round tables: “International cooperation of modern universities in the internationalization context” and “Social and psycological characteristics of an individual’s adaptation to a training process”. Thus psycologists discussed the introduction of new training standards as well as the adaptation of disabled to students’ life.
