Cooperation with Ehime University, Japan
Ehime University (Matsuyama, Ehime prefecture) — is another OSU prospective partner. Meeting at Ehime University of OSU representatives, reсtor Zhanna Ermakova and director of Japan Information Center Liudmila Dokashenko with the President of Ehime University Yuichi Ohashi and the Head of International Relations Department Kazumi Yamauchi demonstrated intention for collaboration.
During the visit to Matsuyama on the 20th of April 2016 OSU representatives met Vice-Governor of Ehime Prefecture Joko Toshifumi and leaders of Ehime Prefecture departments. In Matsuyama city the meeting with Mayor Katsuhito Noshi was dedicated to the perspectives of friendship establishment with Orenburg. Cooperation opportunities in research of Japanese war prisoners graves in Orenburg after the Second World War were also discussed at the meeting.
During the visit to Matsuyama OSU representatives also met director Yoichi Ochi and actors of Botchan Theatre, who visited Orenburg in 2012. Toon town Mayor Isao Takasuka presented gratitude for the organization of concert tour in Orenburg. Matsuyama deputies expressed willingness to take part in the annual festival “Days of Japan at OSU” in order to establish the cooperation with Orenburg authority and business representatives.
