Cooperation with the Republic of Kazakhstan
The close territorial proximity with the border of Kazakhstan makes the cooperation with its educational institutions rather intensive. The most active OSU partners are Kazakh University of Economics, Finances and International Trade (Astana), Law Academy "Femida" (Karaganda), Karaganda State University named after E.šBuketov (Karaganda), and Kizilorda State University named after Korkit-Ata (Kizilorda), Aktubinsk State University named after K.šZhubanov (Aktobe), West-Kazakhstan State University named after M.šUtemisov (Uralsk), West Kazakhstan Agrarian and Tachnical University named after Zhangir Khan (Uralsk), Kazakh-Russian International University (Aktobe), Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Madical University (Almaty).

Faculty Exchange
Annually faculty members from partner institutions participate in joint scientific, theoretical, and practical conferences, seminars, educational forums, and fairs. Moreover, colleagues exchange their publications and teach short-term lecture courses, etc.
Scientific Training
In Novemberš2009, OSU has been successfully developing special scientific training programs "Methodology of scientific research" to host undergraduate students from the Kazakhstan universities. The undergraduates attend classes in many departments include: Management, Economics, Production of Building Materials, Items and Constructions, Life Safety and Environment Protection, Mathematics, Informatics, Philology, History, Pedagogics, and Biology. Each student has individual tutorials with OSU elite professors and they consult with foreign students about their dissertations and introduce them to the methodology of scientific research. The guests are also provided with access to OSU library resources. The university implements these programs together with Kizilorda State University named after Korkit-Ata and Aktubinsk State University named after K.šZhubanov, West Kazakhstan Agrarian and Tachnical University named after Zhangir Khan (Uralsk).
