Japan Information Center in OSU has been working since 2005.
Since December 26, 2022, Japan Information Center has been reorganized into a Japanese Language and Culture Center.
The main goal of the Japanese Language and Culture Center is to develop cultural ties between Russia and Japan at the regional level, popularize all aspects of cooperation in the university community and the general public.
Science and Education
- organization of Japanese Language Courses;
- cooperation with Hiroshima University, Japan;
- cooperation with Ehime University, Japan;
- cooperation with University college Anabuki, Japan;
- contracts between scientific and academic departments;
- organization of scientific-popular lectures;
- educational training courses and student exchanges.
Culture
- celebration of the annual festival “Days of Japan at OSU”;
- cultural exchanges (16.03.2016);
- club of Japanese fans;
- organization of master classes in origami, tea ceremony, ikebana, calligraphy etc.;
- organization of art exhibitions;
- organization of lectures in literature, history, art.
Economics
- Russian and Japanese organizations data base construction;
- making data base for Japanese companies;
- access for informational resources on Technology, Industry and Japanese economics;
- forming business partnerships, arranging business visits for commercial negotiations;
- organization of business trips, business seminars, business meetings, lectures and presentations;
- organization of Japanese commodity producers exhibitions.
