The Faculty of Public Professions is accommodated in the Students' Center "Russia" and offers extra training programs that OSU students can enroll into while taking one of the majors at the same time.

Each program lasts 3 years and the academic year is through September 15 — May 15. On completing a program students get a certificate that enables them to work as a stage director in an amateur theatre troupe, dancing instructor, a vocal ensemble leader, etc. The Students' Center "Russia" is happy to employ the faculty's graduates as professional performers into its creative groups.

The faculty is very active in organizing traditional OSU holidays like the Day of Knowledge, New Year, St. Tatiana's Day (the university's birthday), the V-Day, etc.
